About Me

Hello and welcome! My name is Sharon Noz. I’m not a doctor nor do I play one on tv. So why am I writing this blog? What makes my story so different from yours or anyone else’s? Those are good questions and a few years ago, I would have told you my story was nothing special, nothing out of the ordinary. Then life happens and your story changes, reshapes you and you find your voice.

Sometimes your life’s purpose unfolds in front of you when you least expect it. During one of my biggest health battles, my purpose became crystal clear. As an advocate for wholistic healing & wellness, I am here to help as many people as I can, awaken to the toxic harmful substances pharmaceuticals are. (*Please note, I do believe that there is a time & place for modern medicine. That prescription drugs can be necessary at times, surgeries, major injuries, etc. What I am against however, is the long term use of certain prescription drugs such as extended release opioids & mood enhancing/sedative drugs).

Prior to my health taking a turn, I was like everyone else. Eating a typical Standard American Diet. Grains, dairy & sugar with proteins & fats thrown in as my taste buds required. Growing up a teenager in the 80’s, I believed what the media was selling. The fad was FAT FREE, DIET EVERYTHING. Fat BAD – Carbs GOOD.

If I became ill, I would see a doctor & take whatever prescription was given to me, without question. I believed pharmaceuticals were critical in the body’s healing process. I could not imagine healing without the help of a pharmaceutical. Medicine helped us, didn’t it? I used to think that. Not anymore.

In 2014 my health spiraled rapidly downward. Over the past seven years, I have had 5 medical emergencies that brought me extremely close to death. (Each of which I will discuss in further detail in future articles). 3 of these life/death emergencies, were due to the pharmaceuticals I was being prescribed by my doctors. (**Please note, I do not hold my doctors accountable. They were doing what they “believed” to be the right thing in helping me manage my health issues at the time).

Here is a basic outline of the health battles I have been challenged to overcome.

Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, Raynaud’s Disease, Gallbladder Disease, EBV-Epstein Barr Virus, Chemical Toxicity (chemical poisoning from glyphosate, styrene & other toxins), DVT-Deep Vein Thrombosis, MTHFR Double Gene Mutation, CRPS-Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome, SIBO-Small Intestinal Bacteria Overgrowth, Pharmaceutical Poisoning, Anxiety, Depression, Nervous Breakdown, Chronic Fatigue & Adrenal Insufficiency.

Surviving day to day became my life. The chronic pain & fatigue left me feeling depleted, malnourished & weak. On certain days, I would swear to you that death’s hands were resting comfortably on my shoulders, just waiting for night fall to sweep me away. These were dark days, filled with uncertainty, sickness & pain.

Am I truly healed now? No, no I’m not. I am in the process of healing and will be for the next several months or so. A body does not survive the type of damage mine has, and heal within weeks. This internal healing will take months, maybe even a year or two. I’m okay with that. After everything I have gone through, fighting illness/disease/toxicity since 2014, I’ll happily take on a long healing stint, whatever it takes to be truly healthy, mind, body & soul.

Over the past several years, I have earned an education on the human body. Especially our digestive systems & how delicate they truly are. Proper nutrition is crucial to healing but more importantly than nutrition…… our bodies need an environment free of harmful toxins/poisons/drugs to function at optimal levels.

Here, I’m going to share with you my health journey & what I’ve learned along the way. I’m going to talk about the diets I tried. How incorporating the Blood Type Diet protocols were life changing for me. Living Keto Pescatarian with a Keto Carnivore, sometimes Paleo, husband. No sugar, no grains, no dairy, no corn, no soy, no gluten, no eggs & basically nothing processed. Whew! That’s a whole lot of NOs. You might be wondering with all these NOs, what is there left to ear? Well, I’ll share plenty of recipes, recipes I’ve created over the years to accommodate our lifestyle changes.

The Keto Carnivore, sometimes Paleo recipes will contain dairy and eggs as my husband is not allergic to these foods. Other recipes will utilize vegan options, such as using flaxseed as an egg substitute. Sweeteners such as organic coconut sugar, stevia or honey may be used on occasion as well.

For one to achieve true homeostasis though, it will require much more than just making dietary changes & removing harmful toxins. The past several years have shown me that the mind must be healed first, than the physical healing can truly begin. Without healing the mind & releasing the “negative illness web” that ultimately develops when someone is challenged with a health issue, your body stays “stuck”. Trust me, I know first hand about being “stuck”.

The first step for me in becoming “unstuck” was to replace all the pharmaceuticals I was taking. If I wanted my mind to heal, I had to release it from it’s prison. The only question was how was I going to control my pain, inflammation & other issues? Medicinal Marijuana, that’s how. Medicinal Marijuana is what I use daily. Incorporating medicinal marijuana into my life armed me with what I needed to remove all the pharmaceuticals I was being prescribed. I will share the methods I use. I will also talk about how I stepped down from the medications, how long it took & what I experienced.

I will share with you how meditation, yoga, Pilates & weight training have helped me transform my body; both physically & mentally. Learning how to break out of the “victim” role & step into the “strong survivor” role. Changing your mindset changes your life. Trusting in the Universe & knowing that you receive what you give. So be positive because POSITIVE attracts POSITIVE.

There is hope! Know that there is hope! Our bodies are capable of incredible things. We just have to learn how to listen to our bodies & provide the proper fuel & all will be good. I’m living proof!
